No I'm not dead. Just passively watching from the background. I just moved not to long ago and haven't been carrying the camera as much as i should be.

Anyway, I saw this in another Deviant's journal and since I'm mildly obsessed with dragons I couldn't help but join in. Give 'em some clicks for me and lets see if I can keep them alive.

Of A Chain Of Features

I have been thinking about doing a feature thing here for a while and now since I caught this from :iconuffdagreg:, I now have a proper excuse. So the way that this works is that the first ten people to comment here on this journal will get features in it. I will pick three of my favorites out of your gallery and display them here. The catch? You have to do the same thing hence the "chain" part. I can't wait to explore some galleries and show off some talent.

It feels like it was it just the other day that I was commenting on how cool it was to have 2000 page views and now I get back and I'm over 3000. Thank you to every one that has been keeping up with me especially since I haven't been active during the last months. I am going to start carrying the camera more again so that I can have more for you to see. I'm also thinking about doing some sort of feature in my journal. Let me know what you think.

Of new looks, feedback and more missed shots

I know I haven't had much activity lately other than watching and commenting. I'm feeling a little unsure of where to go next with my works and whether or not I'm improving. I put that question into a poll and got an amazingly underwhelming response. Anyway I'm updating my journal and have discovered another code I don't get along with. (css) I had a beautiful race last weekend and didn't have the camera with me to get any shots. The race before I had the camera and didn't have time to pull it out without getting killed. We actually broached (turning over while going downwind) and swamped the cockpit and soaked a few of us including the skipper. We even almost lost an idle camera. It would have made for good pics if I hadn't needed both hands and a foot to keep from getting washed overboard. I have a few shots in mind to take it's just the going out and shooting them that needs doing. Please let me know what you think about my work so far and where it might go. I like feedback.

Of Torn Sails and Missed Opportunities

Had an eventful race last weekend. We where forced to fly all the sails we had on board as we kept tearing them. We tore a 15 foot hole in our big spinnaker and the spreader went through our 166 tech jib. So in one race with many quick sail changes we had all 5 sails up at some point. On the way back to the parking lot after the race I saw one of the best photo opportunities I've seen in a long time and of course I didn't have the camera. The owner and skipper of EZ, one of the boats in our class owns Omar Sails so he had his vehicle there. Background out of the way this was the shot: A green SUVan sits in a gravel parking lot. Across the back window is stenciled Omar Sail Lofting and Repair. Piled up behind this vehicle is about 7 sail-bags of varying colors. Excuse me while I go and continue kicking myself.
